How to use Industrial Videoscope to inspect Auto engine cylinder head?

With the development of industrial technology, the non-destructive testing is very important and necessary. Industrial videoscope has been widely used in General Industry, Automotive, Aerospace, Construction, Oil&Gas, Mining, Automotive, Energy power, Military production, Pipe welding, Security and Other field. The most proportion of these field is Automotive, and the proportion in 2019 is 36%. The trend of Automotive is increase. The worldwide market for industrial videoscope is expected to grow at a CAGR of roughly 4.0% over the next five years. Industrial videoscope will reach 760 million US$ in 2024, from 600 million US$ in 2019.

Let’s take the Auto manufacturing industry as an example to see how industrial Videoscope is used in this field.

This is an engine manufacturing company which was established in 2005 with a total investment of several billion dollars. The products and services provided by the company cover auto parts and accessories manufacturing, mold manufacturing, auto parts design services, etc. The factory has casting, processing, assembly, etc. Now they need some Industrial videoscopes to inspect the car engine blisters, every engine cylinder head must be inspected.

On average, they have to check more than 200 units every day, each with more than 10 times, drag back and forth to detect according to the pattern on the cylinder head. The customer had bought the rigid borescopes from other supplier, but it broke after a short time, and it is inconvenient to operate. The customer heard that Yateks 2.8mm industrial videoscope could meet this application, so our engineers took our demo units with 2.2mm and 2.8mm probes to visit the customer. During the on-site inspection, they found that 2.2mm probe is more suitable for detecting this kind cylinder since it’s more slim and flexible. There is still extra space when we cover the interior, the whole internal corners could be detected clearly, and they can see that there are some casting iron filings inside the cylinder. The maintenance personnel were very satisfied with the effect of Yateks equipment, and they decided to buy 10 units for try on their inpection site.

Actually this is not the first time for Yateks industrial videoscope to serve Auto Industry, Yateks M series Borescopes have been used for many famous brands of Auto Industry, like Audi, Volkswagen, Nemak and others.

Yateks M series industrial videoscope meet your different application requirements, probe diameter from 2.2 mm to 6 mm, and the optional length from 1 meter to 10 meters.
