1.What is the working principle of this sensor?
[Yateks]: Please see attached documents of Yateks sensor measurement principle for your look.
2. What is the Design ranges (Max. and Min.) for temperature, pressure, and flowrate?
[Yateks]:
Sensor model | Max. temperature | Min. temperature | Max. pressure | Max. flowrate | Remarks |
YTS61 | 120℃ | -40℃ | 15bar | 0.5 meter per second | When higher pressure or flowrate, can add a pressure reduce valve or flow valve to help |
YFJ-4 | 80℃ | -40℃ | 100bar | 300ml per minute | When higher pressure or flowrate, can add a pressure reduce valve or flow valve to help |
3.What are the viscosity limits for this sensor?
[Yateks]: For YTS61 sensor:the maximum viscosity is 1000cSt; For YFJ-4 sensor: the maximum viscosity is 400cSt.
4. How does air content impact on the measurement?
[Yateks]: For YTS61 sensor: the air content will have limited impact on oil properties measurement;
For YFJ-4 particle counter sensor, the air bubbles in oil sample will be recognized and read as solid particles and increase the particle counting numbers, lead to a bit higher NAS level or ISO Code.
5. Can your sensors be applied to mineral and to synthetic oils? Are there any limitations?
[Yateks]: Both YTS61 sensor and YFJ-4 sensor can be used for testing with mineral and to synthetic oils.
The limitation of oils is that highly corrosive oil will be a risk of damage the sensor detection part. the sensor detection part is SS316.
6. Do we have to send our oil for analysis/profiling or even calibrate the sensor with our oil prior to run the machine?
[Yateks]: In future when we build a long-term partnership, Yateks will remotely support you to do sensor calibration at your place free of charge, if you have your own oil analysis lab and engineers are able to do some laboratory testings.
In this way, you will have no worry about after sale services, and also can provide your customers with sensor calibration after some time use online.
7. Is there any adjustment or fine tune for each customer equipment?
[Yateks]: No need to do any adjustment or fine tune for each customer equipment. our target is on testing and monitoring the lubricant oils or other type oils.
8. What special requirements do we need to consider when integrating your system into our lube oil system architecture? Any valve loop?
[Yateks]: The main conditions to keep sensor in good performance are temperature, pressure, flowrate, and the thread size is for your convenient combination to your system.
9. What are the installation constraints? I.e., does it work if mounted horizontally, vertically, or are there any other installation requirements?
[Yateks]: For YTS61 sensor installation: can be mounted horizontally or vertically, to keep the YTS61 sensor detection part was totally immersed in oil, and avoid heavy vibration.
For YFJ-4 sensor installation: the best recommend flowrate is 25-30ml per minute, under this flowrate can keep giving the most accurate measurement that very similar as lab analysis.
10. Do you recommend any installation location in our system? (Downstream pump, Upstream filter, etc.?)
[Yateks-Julie]: It depends on your purpose of the sensor condition monitoring.
In general, end users want to monitor the oil quality after filtration, then after filter;
The installation location should be considered the best conditions for sensor measurement, this is the basic and most important thing.
11. What are the process connections available? NPT? Double-ferrule?
[Yateks]: We can provide you the connections as you requires thread size, it’s not a problem, just tell us the right connections you need or provide us a drawing, we will design and manufacture for you.
12. What are the electrical/control connections available?
[Yateks]: For power supply: we can provide you with 110-240V AC or 24V DC.
For control connections: currently we have RS485 Modbus RTU, TCP, CAN for wire connection to customer’s system or control center/PLC, and 4G/WIFI, LOAR for wireless connection to transmit to Cloud platform.
If you have other requirements, feel free to tell me, I will discuss with our engineer and provide you available solutions.
13. How is the data retrieved to the operator? 4-20 mA signal? Dashboard? Patented Software?
[Yateks]: The YTS61 sensor and YFJ-4 sensor are avaible for RS485 output or CAN output or 4-20mA output.
We will provide you with communication protocol and operation instruction in user manual to help you on data retrieved, and we also have PC software for this two sensor can share you.
14. What kinds of connectivity protocols and connections are available for the sensors? (RS232? Ethernet?)
[Yateks]:For single sensor of YTS61 and YFJ-4, the protocol and connections are available RS485 output, CAN output and 4-20mA output.
15. What is the voltage and power consumption (W)?
[Yateks]: Both YTS61 and YFJ-4 sensor: voltage is DC 24V±10%, power consumption is less than 5W.
16.Are there any kind of diagnosis to see if the sensors are running?
[Yateks]: ①Both this two sensors are giving real-time measurement output, If there’s no data output, it must something wrong;
②We also provide external panel box in 7inch touching screen for display sensor real-time measurements, test records and caution & warning settings. help you clearly see the sensor working mode.
17. Are there any limitations about utilizing these sensors in rotating machinery, in regard to vibration?
[Yateks]: Yes, heavy vibration will affect on sensor measurements.
①The vibration should be less than 9.8mm/s.
②If there’s heavy vibration, we will provide you with anti-vibration installation solution and also anti-vibration part, to help you solve the on-site installation problems.
18. Are there any potential concerns and limitations to use these sensors in hazardous areas?
[Yateks]: We have ATEX version for both YTS61 sensor and YFJ-4 sensor.
Should confirm with the end user for the application of online oil condition monitoring whether reuqires normal version or explosion proof version.
19. Is it Explosion proof rated? e.g., ATEX certified?
[Yateks]: Yes, we have ATEX version, but our standard version is not ATEX version, takes 4-6 weeks for ATEX version sensor manufacture.
I enclosed the ATEX certificate of Yateks sensor for your look.
